Specialities of the house

In the afternoon we offer a special tasty titbit out of the region. Faithful to our longstanding tradition we prepare one of the most famous dishes: "Hefe-Plinsen".

The dough is made after an old secret recipe and is formed into a round cake (looking like a crepe) which will be baked in a pan. It's a delicious highlight for many of our "sweet" guests. 

Our "Spreewälder Plinse" is served in the following varieties:

• "Spreewälder Plinse" with sugar and cinnamon
• "Spreewälder Plinse" with apple puree and whipped cream
• "Festtagsplinse" with hot cherries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream

The "Spreewälder Plinse" is always complicated to spell, even the locals are writing it whether with "s" like "Plinse" or with "z" as "Plinze". Our guests usually can't imagine what dish this would be. Although it is a totally different recipe our "Plinse" is similar to a pancake or a crepe.
